Retreat Participation Fee
Fee covers Monday lunch, and breakfast and lunch on Tuesday. You will be responsible for paying for your own dinner on Monday night. Supporting Campus Members: $110 Limited Members: $150 Lodging on Campus (with in-suite bathroom): Single Room: $34.75 Shared Room (Price per person): $26.75 (If you will be bringing family or friends with you, they are also welcome to stay on campus). Northern Michigan University Join us for a professional development retreat, hosted by the Northern Michigan University Sustainability Office to meet in-person with sustainability leaders from local colleges and universities to network, share about your work and find inspiration for your future sustainability efforts.
Agenda: Monday, June 8 11 a.m -12 pm: Welcome and Introductions 12:00-1:00 pm: Lunch at the NMU's brand new "Sustainability Hub for Innovation and the Environment" (SHINE). Lunch will showcase a "decolonized diet". 1:0 0-4:00 pm: Campus and Town Sustainability Walking Tour 4:00-5:00 pm: Break (and check into campus room) 5:00-6:30 pm: Visit 3rd Street Village 6:30 pm: Group Dinner at Iron Bay Restaurant and Distillery Optional Sunset hike up Sugarloaf Tuesday, June 9 8:30 a.m: Breakfast at Northern Lights Dining at Residence Hall (check out of room if not staying additional nights. 9:30 a.m.: Tour Recycle906 (County MRF) 11:00-12:00: Facilitated Forest Bathing at Blueberry Ridge 12:00-2:00 pm: Box Lunch Topic and Small Group Discussions (based on topics proposed by group) 2:00 p.m-2:30 - Return to campus Questions?
