2024-2025 Membership:

As UMACS prepares to celebrate twenty years of advancing a more sustainable and just Upper Midwest, we are formalizing  the process for campuses to become a “member” of UMACS.  Formalizing membership will help us better serve your needs, communicate honestly to potential donors how many active campuses we have, and raise the funds we need to continue to support paid part-time staff when our grant ends in the spring of 2025. 

To apply for membership, campuses should identify a primary contact person to submit a short application. Please note that person will be asked to complete a very short annual survey in late fall.

2025-2026 Membership will open on July 1, 2025.  
Benefits will be similar to 24-25 and fees will be: 
  • Supporting Membership: $600
  • 10% System discount for five or more campuses
  • Campus Conference Sponsorship: $1200 and includes one free faculty/staff conference registration, a free Exhibit Hall table at the conference, and all Supporting Member benefits. 

UMACS 2024-2025 Membership Levels and Benefits:

 Supporting Campus Membership Benefits ($500):

  • Free participation in monthly Community of Practice meetings and 10% off all other program fees, including the annual conference!
  • Identified as Conference Sponsor in all Conference communications and during the conference.
  • Monthly newsletter with funding and programming resources. 
  • Moderated email listserv
  • Eligible to apply for a free registration to attend the annual Midwest Climate Collaborative Summit. 
  • Eligible to apply for UMACS funding opportunities.
  • Eligible to nominate candidates for a UMACS Re(cognition) Award.
  • Eligible to serve on the UMACS Steering Committee.​​
Limited Membership Benefits (Free): 

  • Eligible to participate in all programs. Note that starting in January 2025, there will be a $125/year program fee to participate in the 2025 Community of Practice (scholarships will be available).
  • Monthly newsletter with funding and programming resources. 
  • Moderated email listserv
  • Eligible to apply for a free registration to attend the annual Midwest Climate Collaborative Summit. 
  • Eligible to apply for UMACS funding opportunities.

We only offer memberships for campuses; we welcome donations to help us continue our work!
