Hear from our 2024 Sustainability Fellows!

"Thank you very much for the opportunity to participate in the UMACS Sustainability Fellowship Program, it was a truly valuable experience.  It fostered both my professional and personal growth—thank you, especially for the training on Intercultural Competence. The peer review process and human-centered design trainings were particularly enjoyable to me since they encouraged original problem-solving and deep collaboration with the other Fellows. I became more deliberate about what truly matters to me, what benefits the community, and how to ask the "just right" question to provide meaningful and equitable solutions. The program helped me reevaluate how I set my goals and tackle problems.
Overall, this fellowship was a stimulating and useful experience that improved my comprehension of sustainability and fortified my capacity to effect change. Anyone wishing to increase their networks and skills to become a leader in the sustainability field should definitely check it out!"  - Valentyna Stopul, South Dakota State University
