Survey of Japanese Hops

Green Campus Project members will be doing a survey of Grant County to identify the spread of the invasive species, Japanese Hops, in coordination with the Wiconsin Department of Natural Resources.

Community Arboretum Trail Adoption and Native Prairie Restoration

The UW-Plattevile Green Campus Project has adopted a portion of the Platteville Community Arboretum. The group will be eradicating invasive species and restoring native prairie vegetation. Students will be working with local youth to educate them about erosion control, storm water management, and native plants.

Sustainability is Central Theme of Luther College Strategic Plan

The Luther College Board of Regents has approved the college’s Sesquicentennial Strategic Plan for 2008-12, a plan that includes a landmark initiative for Luther’s quest towards carbon neutrality.

Taking the college through its 150-year anniversary in 2011-12, the strategic plan is titled “Transformed by the Journey.” It identifies three imperatives and specific strategies by which the college will achieve those imperatives.
