UMACS Conference 2010 – Registration Information
Online Registration Form
Registration deadline is March 31, 2010
Fees
The general registration fee is $125 and applies to all attendees who are not full-time students. General registration includes meals.
Student registration (available to full-time students only) is $25 and also includes meals. UW River Falls faculty/staff Registration is $100. All UWRF attendees must still register.
Lodging
Lodging is NOT included in registration costs. Rooms have been reserved at the Best Western River Falls (Phone 877-865-7477 or www.bestwesternriverfalls.com) one block from campus. Be sure to mention that you are attending the UMACS Conference when booking. Rooms will be released on March 22, so be sure to reserve your room before that date.
Room Sharing: Because of limited rooms, and to be more energy and cost efficient, please try to share an extra bed in your room with someone. If you are willing to share a room, let the hotel know when you are reserving a room.
Food
Three meals are included in the registration cost: Friday evening dinner, Saturday breakfast, and Saturday lunch. You must sign up for the meals with your registration. For the meals that aren’t included, there are several retail food vendors in the University Center, as well as the Riverside Commons (cafeteria), and there are multiple restaurants within blocks or 1 mile of campus.

We are providing local contact information for attendees requiring child care. It is your responsibility to make arrangements.

Campus: The University of Wisconsin-River Falls campus is located along the banks of the South Fork of the Kinnickinnic River in beautiful western Wisconsin. It is approximately 36 miles from the Twin Cities, 242 miles from Madison, WI, 175 miles from Duluth, MN and 273 miles from Des Moines, IA. It is easily found just south and east of the main business district with Cascade Avenue running the length of campus from east to west. The University Center (UC) is located in the center of campus and will be the site for all conference activities.
Parking: For those staying overnight and parking at the Best Western at the western edge of campus, your parking issues are solved, as the UC is an easy 5-7 minute walk. For those commuting on Saturday, no parking restrictions apply in any lot. Lot F is immediately behind (south) of the UC and offers the most convenient access, especially those with mobility challenges. For those commuting on Friday, careful attention needs to be paid to reserved space details. Please email Carol Wilcox carol.wilcox@uwrf.edu who will assign and send you an electronic/printable parking permit for reserved parking slots in lots closest to the UC, with speakers having priority. Parking on campus without a permit on Friday will definitely get you noticed and ticketed without compassion. Street parking on Cascade is possible, but very difficult unless you get lucky. Parking on surrounding streets is free on one side and require permits on the other. Pay attention to signage.
