ACUPCC Pre-Conference Information


ACUPCC workshops are intended to foster collaboration among ACUPCC signatories and non-signatories that are facing similar challenges and opportunities in their region. Bring your Climate Action Plan and your sustainability teams and come prepared to make significant headway in overcoming the obstacles to fulfilling the Commitment and building capacity to successfully implement sustainability projects. You will come away with tangible resources, contacts, and ideas to support your efforts on campus.

ACUPCC Regional Collaborative Workshop: Climate Action Planning

The ACUPCC regional workshop is intended to foster collaboration among higher education institutions that are facing similar challenges and opportunities. The Climate Action Planning process will be discussed in-depth, and participants will have opportunities to brainstorm and develop solutions. This workshop will provide an interactive platform to co-learn. Participants will come away with tangible resources, contacts and ideas to support climate action planning at their institutions. Second Nature staff will facilitate this workshop. This pre-conference workshop is open to all, with a special invitation to ACUPCC Implementation Liaisons and sustainability staff of ACUPCC signatory schools. (Refreshments will be served.)

ACUPCC Regional Collaborative Networking Breakfast: Implementation Successes and Challenges

The Networking Breakfast is intended to discuss implementation solutions and challenges, learn from your peers, and meet the ACUPCC support staff. The networking meeting will provide an opportunity to engage in lively roundtable discussions with your peers, learn about the resources available to support implementation and to offer feedback on assistance needed to continue moving toward the goals you have set in your Climate Action Plan. One participant will be appointed on each roundtable to facilitate the conversation. Second Nature staff will provide support. This pre-conference event is open to all, with a special invitation to implementation liaisons and sustainability staff of ACUPCC signatory schools. (Light breakfast will be served.)
